So I came back. And what do you know, Day 4 was all about taking care of your back! I have a desk job and I never used to think that I had a back problem. Until I first started practising yoga. Getting into all the twists and stretches I finally began to notice how tight and tense I really was. And loosening everything up really made a difference when I was at my desk. I could suddenly feel when I began to tense up again and it helped me beginning sitting up straight and taking little breaks from hunching…

This morning this another one of the 50-50 playlists. Just as I was about to skip to another, Lady Gaga and R Kelly gave me the BPM to stay.

1.Warm up. Check in with your body – shoulders down, small bend in the elbows, back straight, chest up so you can get air into your lungs. And don’t death-grip the handlebars. If you can’t keep up with the BPM just spin it out, it’s your warm up. 2.Get up out of the saddle for a standing warm up. Make sure you’ve got enough tension on your trainer to…

I love a good yoga series. I got started on yoga with one of Erin Motz’s 30-day series on DoYouYoga.com and started following her on YouTube. And it was on YouTube that I discovered so many more yoga series. I started one with Adriene Mishler recently. I find her quite airy-fairy at times but my body seems to agree with her routines. Today I’m on Day 3, but give it a try for yourself…

Over the last few days I’ve been finding my way around the “Spinning” playlists on 8Tracks.com. Now while I love what this streaming site allows you to do (finding the right music for your mood), searching for playlists based on activity can be a bit of a mixed bag. So far the playlists I’ve been spinning to haven’t been dominated with too much EDM. And this playlist by stefsterg was the first I’d found over the last 2 weeks that had instructions on the positions for each track. Enjoy!!

1. Warm-up 2. 6 min climb with slides and a…

Last year I had a lot of free time on my hands (those were the days) and I was looking for something new. Over the years I’d read up a bit on yoga and what it was, but I never thought it was something I would try. The thought of walking into a yoga class was petrifying (it still is). All those lean, lithe bodies twisting into practiced pretzels? Nooit. But then I stumbled on this free 30-day online yoga challenge. Finally! I thought, something I can do in the comfort of my own home and not look like a…
