We’re moving deeper into our Warrior 2 practice today, with yoga stretches and breathing that strengthens the body.
The slow transitions and deep breathes felt really good this morning. On a Saturday I usually call up a buddy and we hit the Sea Point Promenade for an easy 5km jog. It’s mainly to catch up on each other’s lives, but it helps us get our heart rate up as week. But after the tough week that was, I needed a little me time to reconnect with myself.
I honestly don’t know how I coped in the past without yoga. It’s become a much needed stress reliever to help me switch off from the craziness of my 9-5. It helps me reconnect with not only my body, but my mind and breathe as well, and I definitely feel like myself again.
